Product- The Internet of Things
Process
Well before I even started this mission I didn't even know much on what its about and all I knew well all we knew was that is was about things that connected to the internet in certain ways. But when Sean was telling about the culture mission he said load and clear that we couldn't join in a group with the same people we were in the first mission with and everyone was confused and a kind of sad I think I don't know peoples minds. But anyways as soon as he finished explaining everything and that class was over I texted the class group chat and asked who wanted to be in my group and lucky for me Ania was my first pick to be in my group and then Sam later decided to join too.💫
In fairness I now think I understand why Sean made us chose different people maybe to communication with different people or get different mind set or something.Anyways we couldn't meet in person to talk about the mission because Sam lived all the way in Rush and to be honest I don't even know where that is till this day.Sam shared the Microsoft Powerpoint with me and Ania and we also made a WhatsApp group chat called CDM Culture Group and that was our way of communicating.Anyways we spilt the mission is three equal parts obviously with Me doing the Pros and Cons for The Internet of Things, Ania doing the mind map and examples of The Internet of Things and Sam doing the Questionnaire/Survey.
Here are some of the Pros and Cons of The Internet of Things:
Pros
- Communication:IoT encourages Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication (communication between devices).Physical devices are able to stay connected with better quality and lesser inefficiencies
- This helps people in daily tasks. Transferring data over a connected network to save time and money and can now be done much faster, thanks to IoT.
Cons
- Dependent on Technology:The younger generation is are technology freaks and they depend on technology and its devices for every little thing. With the help of IoT, this dependency will become even more in daily routines. Totally relying on IoT devices.
- In today’s tech-driven world, each and every device that a person uses are connected the internet. This increases the risk of any leakage of data that might be important. Information might not be safe & could be hacked by third parties easily.
Ania designed the presentation this time and I did a little designing too.
