Product-The Internet of Things
Process
This was my second mission and before starting the Culture Mission which was the second mission we were given the options on the course website to do our presentation on theses topics and some of the options were:- Memes
- Blogging
- Activism and Agency
- Personal Data Tracking
- Internet of Things
- Augmented Reality
- Youtubing
- Digital Privacy
- Online Hate and Harassment
- Working for the Web
- Wikipedia
- Selfies
Me reading mostly all of the options Sean has given here I come to realise that Internet of Thing might be a good option and I kept it in mind for the next day as I kind of knew very little of it. Well before I even started this mission I didn't even know what is about all I knew was that is was about things that connected to the internet. But when Sean was telling about the culture mission he said we couldn't join the same people we were in everyone was confused and a bit disappointed I think I don't know. But any ways as soon as that class was over I texted the group 5 WhatsApp group chat and asked who wanted to be in my group and lucky for me Ania was my first person to be in my group and then Sam decided to join too.
The only thing we all found out about The Internet of Things was:
We had about 2 weeks to complete with the research, history, making the GIF's and the creating of the presentation in which i think was a decent amount of time to get all the information and production together in one Microsoft Powerpoint.😁
The only thing we all found out about The Internet of Things was:
- The Internet of Things (IoT) is the increasing number of devices that can connect to the Internet and communicate with each other around the world.
- While the Internet began as a series of computers connecting to other computers, it expanded to connect smartphones and has continued to connect large numbers of devices beyond the computing machinery.
- The IoT is connected devices such as smart refrigerators, thermostats, lights, interactive speakers, and security systems in the homes, as well as robots, automated inventory trackers, and remote sensors, to personal wearables and vehicles.
